Renae Williams Niles has worked in the arts for over 25 years and is currently the Associate Dean of Administration (Chief Operating Officer) for the Glorya Kaufman School of Dance at the University of Southern California. For close to 11 years, she worked for The Music Center eventually becoming the vice president of programming, where she led the presentation of nearly 50 internationally-acclaimed ballet and contemporary companies and oversaw other programs and initiatives. Before joining The Music Center, she served as the director of grant programs for the Los Angeles County Arts Commission and participated in their artist selection for the Ford Amphitheatre. She also worked with the Lula Washington Dance Theatre as company manager. Renae has served as a panelist and anonymous nominator for the James Irvine Foundation, MAP Fund, National Endowment for the Arts, United States Artists, other major national foundations, among many others. She has served on several boards including the Western Arts Alliance where she held the position of President and also on the Board of Trustees for Dance/USA. She is currently on the board of the Association of Performing Arts Professionals and Advisor to New England Foundation for the Arts’ National Dance Project. She is the 2017 recipient of the WAA Service Award and currently adjunct faculty teaching Performing Arts Management for Claremont Graduate University.
