Tricia Burgess is a highly experienced Human Resources professional with over 15 years of experience specializing in mid-size and non-profit organizations providing guidance and leadership to C-Suite executives. She is committed to transforming cultures and building corporate infrastructures through diversity & inclusion initiatives, leadership development programs and providing HR best practices that establish an all-inclusive culture principle. Her latitudinous experience includes employee relations, benefits and compensation, training and development, and diversity and inclusion initiatives. She has experience in various industries including performing arts, textile and manufacturing, and public health.
Tricia Burgess currently serves as the Director of Human Resources for a non-profit Public Health Agency in New York, NY. As the agencies Head of Human Resources, Tricia is responsible for serving as a strategic business partner with the responsibility of aligning the HR functions with established business objectives that foster self-organization, innovation, and emergent change. As such, she is responsible for the direct oversight of all of the agencies HR programs and the professional development of a diverse staff while ensuring a great employee experience throughout the life cycle of employment.
Tricia earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Briarcliffe College and an MBA in Business with a concentration in Human Resources Management from the Keller Graduate School of Management in New York. She is an active member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) on both the national and local level. She is also a vocal advocate for diversity and inclusion and works tirelessly to ensure that folks are not only “invited to the party, but asked to dance”.
In her spare time, Tricia mentors young up and coming HR professionals; and spends a lot of time with family and friends, visiting the nearest eateries or wine vineyards.
