Meiyin Wang is a producer and curator of live performance based in the Bay Area. She is a freelance producer specializing in cross disciplinary contemporary performance. Her projects Creative producer of Pig Iron’s A Period of Animate Existence, Andrew Ondrejcak’s Figure Studies, Half Straddle's Is This A Room and the executive producer of Octavia E. Butler’s Parable of the Sower, an opera by Toshi Reagon and Bernice Johnson Reagon, which has been presented in eight cities in four continents, including The Arts Center in Abu Dhabi, and the Holland Festival. Currently, she is an Andrew W. Mellon Creative Fellow at the University of Washington researching emerging technologies and performance.
Wang was most recently the Festival Director of La Jolla Playhouse’s Without Walls, a site-specific and experiential city-wide performance festival in San Diego; Co-Director of Under the Radar Festival at The Public Theater in New York and the curator of the Park Avenue Armory’s artist residency series
