As Director of Marketing & Communications, Oliver cultivates the branding and media landscape for Levitt Pavillion Los Angeles. Oliver’s repertoire spans an array of communications industries including corporate entertainment, city government and non-profit. Previous roles include: Communications & External Affairs Director at Para Los Niños (For the Children), a long-standing Skid Row organization; Communications Specialist for L.A. Mayor Eric Garcetti, helping manage the city’s global brand via innovative campaigns boosting municipal services (Metro, Rec & Parks, etc) and homeland security policies. Prior to his close work with Mayor Garcetti, Oliver held roles with then Councilmember Garcetti’s 13th Council District and Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa. In 2016, Mayor Garcetti appointed Oliver to the Central Area Planning Commission, a board overseeing urban land-use and real estate development in DTLA, Greater Wilshire and Hollywood. Additionally, he serves on the Arturo Sandoval Institute Board, an organization founded by jazz legend, Arturo Sandoval, bridging the access gap in music education. Born and raised in LA, Oliver attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he studied journalism and mass communication. His role with Levitt LA is an amalgamation of his passion for music entertainment and all things LA.
