Laura Carpenter has worked in communications for more than a decade, from freelance writing for The New York Times to promoting non-profit organizations in Alaska. Currently she is the marketing director for Anchorage Concert Association, the largest performing arts presenter in the 49th state. She works to build audiences, persuade people to attend events, and inspire and enhance community. Her vision is that everyone has the opportunity to experience the transformative power of the arts and see the value and beauty of themselves and our shared world. A Lambda Literary fellow, she lives with her wife and daughter in Anchorage, Alaska.
