Advancing Indigenous Arts: A Contemporary Perspective

This session features a diverse range of U.S.-based Indigenous artist voices and aims to increase the visibility of contemporary Indigenous artists among U.S. presenters and producers, educate the field about the range and depth of Indigenous work today, and promote understanding of such work and the artists who create it. The panel will explore the innovative, non-conventional practices of Native artists who seek to shatter historic perceptions and advance new narratives around Native resiliency and demystify how these fresh perspectives will resonate with audiences and communities.
