Building Audiences for Sustainability: Size and Context Matter

Nearly four years ago, the Wallace Foundation launched its Building Audiences for Sustainability (BAS) initiative with 26 large performing arts organizations. Today, using feedback from the field, we ask how lessons learned about audience building and community engagement can be applied to the unique context of the small and mid-sized presenting organization. Led by small, mid-sized and large presenters, together we’ll discuss the challenges and opportunities.
